Serial Number 7859308 was reported as inaccurate.

Note: You are correct - my mistake. It is a Grade 184
BW Raymond Model 5 OF with Mosely traveling nut
regulator and screw down jewel settings. Also, I
might add that this watch may well be RR Grade.
Pendant set watches were still being accepted into
RR service at the time of manufacture.
Curator Response: Thanks for the followup report. I agree with this assessment. The Grade 184 Raymond replaced the Grade 116 Raymond c.1898. While no catalog descriptions are known for the 184 Raymond, it was fitted with a steel escape wheel, and since the Grade 116 Raymond was specifically advertised for railroad service, it would be logical to conclude the 184 Raymond would have been intended for the same market even though we do not know the level of adjustments.

Note: This appears to be a Model 7 movement but it is
pendant set, not lever set.
Curator Response: Thanks for the report. The Model 5 is Pendant-Set and the Model 7 is Lever-Set. It sounds like you are describing a pendant-set Model 5 as the lookup information indicates, correct?
