AWCo Aluminine
Introduced to the market in May 1887. An advertisement published in the May 1, 1887 issue of the Chicago Tribune describes the Aluminine case: "Aluminine Watches for Ladie's. The movement are of the Waltham make, the same as are used in Gold Watches, [and] warranted reliable time-keepers. The case is made of a compound of the NEW METAL ALUMINUM with silver, and combines the virtues of both, making a Watch which will tarnish less readily than silver alone. These cases are beautifully INLAID with GOLD, and to introduce them to the people of Chicago, we offer the complete Watch at the low price of $10.00 each."
