Conqueror

The "Conqueror" grade was introduced by the Fahys Watch Case Company in 1888 and produced until around 1890, then reintroduced around 1901. The 1890 Otto Young catalog offers the "Conqueror" case, but the guarantee durations are inconsistent between sizes. The 18-Size "Conqueror" case is listed as being guaranteed for a duration of 21 years, identical to the "Monarch" grade. Interestingly, the "Monarch" is specified as a 14K case, but the "Conqueror" gold content is unspecified. The 16-Size "Conqueror" is also listed with a 21-Year guarantee. The 6-Size "Conqueror" case is listed with a 20-Year guarantee, but this is consistent with the duration applied to the "Monarch" grade in this size as well. The 0-Size "Conqueror" is listed with a 15-Year guarantee. It is likely that Fahys maintained a 21-Year guarantee for all Conqueror cases during this era.

Early "Conqueror" cases were 12K gold-filled.

Various markings have been recorded on "Conqueror" cases, including "Fahys Conqueror No.1" and some are marked with "F.W.C.Co." instead of "Fahys." Some "Conqueror" cases have also be observed with the "B.W.C.Co." marking for the Brooklyn Watch Case Company, owned by Fahys.

Around 1901, the company reintroduced the grade with a 10-Year guarantee that was eventually increased to 20 years around 1914.
