The 1890 A. Paul & Co. price list is the only known source that includes both the Crown A No. 1 and the Crown B II case options. The "Crown" cases were listed as "Crown A No. 1, 14k" and "[Crown] B [No.] 2, 14k," indicating both grades were produced as 14K gold-filled cases. The "Crown A No. 1" was offered in sizes 18, 16, 6, and 0 in hunting configuration and 18, 16, and 6 (skylight) sizes in open face configuration. The "Crown B No. 2" was offered in the same variations except for the 0-Size Hunting configuration.

The Crown A No. 1 cases were priced at a premium compared to the Crown B No. 2 cases without any discernable reason. For example, the 18s Hunting Crown A case was priced at $14.75, while the same Crown B case was listed at $11.00. This suggests that the Crown B was positioned below the Crown A case in the product line, perhaps characterized by cheaper materials or finishing techniques. Based on original descriptions and ephemera, both case grades are understood to have been guaranteed for a duration of twenty years.
